General Provisions
The General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as GTC) summarize the contractual terms under which Tulipán Guesthouse (7333 Kárász, Hóvirág u. 3.) – hereinafter referred to as Service Provider – enters into an accommodation agreement with its Guests. Individual conditions are not part of this GTC but do not exclude the possibility of special agreements with travel agents, organizers, or other specific conditions suited to particular transactions.
Contracting Parties
The services provided by the Service Provider are used by the Guest. Tulipán Guesthouse only accepts guests over the age of 16. If the Guest places the order for services directly with the Service Provider, the Guest becomes the Contracting Party. Both the Service Provider and the Guest become contractual parties (hereinafter: the Parties) if the conditions are met. If a third party (hereinafter referred to as Agent) submits the order for services on behalf of the Guest, the terms of cooperation are governed by the agreement between the Service Provider and the Agent. In this case, the Service Provider is not obligated to examine whether the third party is lawfully representing the Guest.
Method and Conditions of Using the Service
Upon the Guest’s verbal or written request for an offer, the Service Provider will send a written offer. The Contract is only created when the Guest’s written reservation is confirmed in writing by the Service Provider, and thus the agreement is considered to be a written contract. Verbal reservations, agreements, modifications, or verbal confirmations by the Service Provider do not constitute a contract. The accommodation contract is valid for a specified period. If the Guest permanently leaves the room before the agreed period expires, the Service Provider is entitled to the full compensation for the services specified in the Contract. The Service Provider is also entitled to resell the room if it becomes vacant before the expiry date. For any extension of the accommodation requested by the Guest, the prior consent of the Service Provider is required. In this case, the Service Provider may demand payment for the services already provided. The condition for using the accommodation service is that the Guests verify their identity in accordance with legal requirements before occupying the apartment. No one may stay at the accommodation without registration.
Check-in and Check-out
The Guest has the right to occupy the rented premises between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM on the agreed day. If the Guest does not arrive by 8:00 PM on the agreed day, the Service Provider has the right to withdraw from the contract unless a later arrival time has been arranged. The Guest must vacate the apartment by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
Extension of Accommodation
For any extension of the stay requested by the Guest, the prior consent of the Service Provider is required. If the Guest fails to vacate the room by 10:00 AM on the day stated as the departure date at check-in, and the Service Provider has not given prior consent to extend the stay, the Service Provider is entitled to charge the room rate for an additional day and, at the same time, the Service Provider’s obligation to provide services ceases.
Prices
The Service Provider may change the published prices without prior notice (for example, due to package prices or other discounts). However, if the Guest has booked accommodation and the Service Provider has confirmed it in writing, the Service Provider cannot change the price for that accommodation. The Service Provider’s current prices are available on the accommodation’s website (www.tulipanvendeghaz.hu-Online Booking) and the price list displayed in the apartment. Guests can always receive information about the price of services from the accommodation provider before the service is provided. When quoting prices, the Service Provider specifies the tax content (tourist tax) applicable at the time of the offer. However, the published prices do not include the tourist tax, which must be paid on-site. The Service Provider will pass on any additional burdens resulting from changes in tax law to the Contracting Party with prior notice. Private wellness is an optional service and can be requested for an additional fee by prior arrangement. The wellness
service cannot be used in cases of fever, infectious diseases, open wounds, intoxication, or under the influence of drugs or narcotics.
Offers and Discounts
Current offers and discounts are advertised on the accommodation’s website. The advertised discounts always apply to individual bookings. Advertised discounts cannot be combined with other discounts.
Cancellation and Payment Terms
Bookings can be canceled free of charge until midnight on the 30th day before arrival. For cancellations made between 29 and 16 days before arrival, 50% of the paid deposit will be refunded. No refund is available for cancellations made within 15 days or less before arrival. There is no refund option for payments made with SZÉP cards. Please notify us if you cannot arrive for any reason. Thank you! A deposit of 50% is required for reservations, which must be transferred within 48 hours of booking. If the Contracting Party is a business entity (including companies, associations, churches, municipalities, government institutions, etc.), the Contracting Party/Client must pay the penalty even if the guest bears the accommodation cost directly. If the Contracting Party has secured the accommodation services by paying a deposit and does not arrive on the day of arrival (and does not send a written cancellation), the Service Provider will retain the full amount of the paid deposit as a penalty. In this case, the accommodation will be held for the Contracting Party until 12:00 PM the following day, after which the Service Provider’s obligation to provide services ceases.
Payment Methods and Guarantee
The cost of the ordered services can be paid on-site in cash (in Forint or Euro) or with OTP, MBH, K&H SZÉP Cards.
