We are delighted to present our guesthouse, a unique place where the architecture of the past is combined with the latest technology and an eco-conscious approach. The building, originally constructed in the late 19th century, has recently undergone a complete renovation, preserving its original character while incorporating modern, sustainable solutions.
The harmony between nature and people is important to us, that is why our apartments are situated in a large, landscaped garden surrounded by trees, featuring a pond alongside native plants that are resilient to the challenges of climate change.
The Gateway to the Eastern Mecsek
The village of Kárász, known as the Gateway to the Eastern Mecsek, is a true gem for nature lovers. This picturesque village not only offers tranquility and an authentic rural atmosphere but also serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the surrounding area. Kárász is located directly at the foot of the Eastern Mecsek, making it the perfect base for the region’s most beautiful hiking trails, which lead through stunning forests, stream valleys, and panoramic hilltops. Hikers will particularly enjoy the nearby Máré Castle and Szászvár, which offer exciting historical and cultural experiences. Kárász is an ideal destination not only for nature enthusiasts but also for those seeking peace and relaxation.

Our guesthouse has been specifically created with romance in mind, aiming to provide couples with a tranquil, intimate setting to enjoy unforgettable moments. The cozy ambiance of our rooms, along with mood lighting, a fireplace, and comfortable furnishings, are all designed to help couples fully savor their time together. Romantic evenings can be made even more memorable with a candlelit dinner by the garden pond under the starry sky, complemented by some of the finest wines from the Villány wine region. The garden’s resting areas and our exclusive private wellness services further enhance the uniqueness of your stay. For uninterrupted relaxation and peaceful rejuvenation, our guesthouse welcomes guests aged 14 and over only.
Modern Technology and Comfort
We have designed our guesthouse to ensure the utmost comfort for our guests using the latest technologies. Solar panels have been installed on the building’s roof, providing not only the necessary energy but also reducing our ecological footprint. The entire building features energy- efficient LED lighting, controlled by smart systems that automatically adjust the brightness and lighting duration to your needs. Motion-sensor lights enhance both comfort and energy efficiency. The grass is maintained by a robotic lawnmower, which operates quietly and is powered by the electricity generated by the solar panels. In line with our eco-conscious approach, we also offer an electric vehicle charging station for our guests.
Eco-Friendly Approach
We place great emphasis on environmental consciousness. During the renovation, we used natural and recycled materials to minimize the construction’s impact on the environment. We have also optimized water use in our guesthouse: we installed low-flow faucets and showerheads and created an irrigation system that utilizes natural water sources for watering our garden. We provide and refill (unlimited) osmosis-filtered drinking water (RO) in our apartments and wellness area, reducing the need for single-use plastic bottles. In terms of waste management, we set an example by offering selective waste collection for our guests and supporting local recycling programs.
